Community Programs
School & Community Programs
Michiana Humane Society is committed to providing education and outreach programming to all segments of our community.
To promote education and enrich the community we serve, we provide a multi-media presentation covering what we do at the shelter, provide tours of our facility, offer opportunities to complete service projects to benefit the animals at the shelter, and bring animals to events and establishments in the community.
We are pleased to make these programs available to all members of the community. For additional information, or to schedule a program please contact serena@michianapets.org.
Interested in joining our Volunteer enrichment Day?
Every month MHS has an open volunteer day-no age restrictions or orientation required. We will work to prepare enrichment activities for the animals in our care. We meet for approximately 1-hour in the Education Room. This is a great service opportunity for families!
Due to the overwhelming interest in Volunteer Saturdays, we now ask you to RSVP in advance. Just call the shelter to be added to the list, or email us at serena@michianapets.org.
Check our Volunteer page for the next Volunteer Day dates!
